12 Days of Christmas Advent Puzzle Calendar
The most wonderful time of the year is here and we’re eager to fill our home with all the comfort and joy the holiday season offers. We’ve done most of our shopping, baked for weeks, got the family matching flannel buffalo plaid jim-jams, and we’re looking forward to some downtime. A time we get to play games, watch movies, read out favorite holiday books and connect with friends and family. For many, it’s the only time of year we get to enjoy time with our loved ones.
To amp up the excitement of the holidays, many enjoy counting down the days to Christmas Eve with advent calendars. Advent calendars are a popular festive tradition in many homes and there is an abundance of them. From classic to kids to pets to specialty themes like Harry Potter, Lego, and National Geographic, there is an advent calendar for everyone’s taste.
I recently found the 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar that captures the spirit of the holiday season all over the world with twelve illustrations! It includes 12 – 80 piece puzzles that collectively make one festive puzzle.
Each of the twelve mini-puzzles features a festive winter scene from around the world. Some cities I recognize by their landmarks are Paris, Moscow, Salzburg, and Munich. People are enjoying outdoor activities like skating, skiing, or ambling in a winter wonderland. I love the nostalgic ambiance of the Christmas markets where you can drink hot mulled cider and savor gingerbread delights, skating rinks filled with cheerful children, horse carriages with jingle bells, street lamps glowing amber and the decorated trees filled with twinkling lights in city squares.
The puzzle pieces are thick, sturdy, and easy to fit together. They are printed with no glare, and non-toxic inks. The finished size for each puzzle is approximately 13 cm x 18 cm (5” x 7”); they remind me of whimsical postcards. This delightful holiday puzzle will quickly become a treasured tradition that your whole family will enjoy putting together year after year.
