125 Best Casseroles & One-Pot Meals Cookbook
We live in a fast-paced environment and it usually means we have to multitask and perhaps make some concessions. One thing I will not compromise on is dinner with the family. I like to keep most of my days uncomplicated and that includes my meals, so I like to make lots of casseroles or one-pot meals. I love the simplicity and my family loves the combinations I create. I get a lot of my ideas from various cookbooks and I recently received a new one called 125 Best Casseroles and One-Pot Meals.
This cookbook makes the whole process of creating delicious and interesting meals incredibly easy. The recipes are fun, delectable and whip up quickly. It’s all about no guess, no mess and no stress. It was enjoyable to test drive several of the hearty and scrumptious recipes on my family. What I really liked is the naturalness and the simpleness of the recipes, they list foods you will typically have in your home. I didn’t have to dash to a specialty shop for any ingredients, and that is the point of this cookbook.
We are really big on pasta dishes and there are oodles of noodle recipes to choose from, over a dozen in fact. One of our favorites is the Baked Three-Cheese and Mushroom Pasta dish. This awesome recipe is so submissive, you can use any kinds of cheese you have in your fridge and your choice of mushrooms. It calls for dry white wine, but we also substituted this ingredient for apple cider vinegar and wow, what a fabulous and tasty meal. The Easy Layered Lasagna Casserole was also a breeze to create, it took about an hour to combine all the ingredients and bake. All the recipes are a cinch to make, yet they look like you spent hours putting them together.
Love Chili and pot pies? Like attractive looking meals? You’ll be impressed with the Vegetarian Black Bean Chili, it’s colorful and appealing to the eye, and it’s very nutritious. Just top with your favorite garnish and serve. Another alluring dish is the Confetti Corn and Chili Pie, you just won’t be able to stop at one serving. The kids completely loved the Pizza Pot Pie and how silly it turned out. It’s like an upside down pizza. Why not! It tasted great! There are copious ideas to work with, beef dishes that upstage the good ole sloppy joes and a classic yummy chicken with dumplings. Everyone will turn out perfect. I love this cookbook!
