Vegan Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 cup raw cashews 125 mL
- 1/2 cup blanched almonds 125 mL
- 2 tsp sesame seed oil 10 mL
- 1 1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast 22 mL
- 1 tsp sea salt 5 mL
- You'll need a Food processor.
- TipsThe almonds and sesame seeds make the vegan Parmesan naturally rich in calcium. For a cheese with an even finer texture, use 1 cup (250 mL) cashews and omit the almonds.
- In a food processor, combine cashews, almonds, sesame seeds, yeast and salt; process to a fine, slightly grainy powder.
- Use immediately or transfer to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for up to one week.
