Baking With Kim-Joy

Baking with Kim-Joy

If you have the panache for ganache, then the Baking With Kim-Joy cookbook is for you. Kim-Joy was a finalist on The Great British Baking Show. Her eccentric appearance and passion for detailed and decorative baking make her endearing. I confess that Kim-Joy was my favorite and I enjoyed watching her create adorable baked goods.

Her cookbook is divided into 5 chapters, Cakes & Frosting, Cookies & icing, Breads, Square Cakes, and Little Bakes. Each recipe is accompanied by a vibrant image and clear instructions. Because she’s British, the recipes are written foremost in metric, with imperial measures in brackets. Some recipes include step-by-step photography and charming illustrations and cheerful thoughts splashed throughout. Some of the recipes you can create are Lemon – Rose & Raspberry Cake, and Spiced Carrot & Walnut Cak. Plus you’ll learn to create some theme cakes like the Woodland Cake, Easter Cake, Cat Paradise Cake, and the beautiful Snowy Christmas Cake.

You’ll also get instructions and tips on decorating, tempering chocolate, baking bread, macarons, and meringues. Whether you’re a new baker or experienced pastry chef, there is a recipe in this cookbook that will resonate with you.
