furReal Cubby, the Curious Bear Interactive Plush Toy

Bear cubs are some of the cutest animals on the planet and children are naturally drawn to their endearing appearance and mischievous inclinations. While real bears are too dangerous to snuggle and play with, the furReal Cubby the Curious Bear from Hasbro loves to be hugged, nurtured and pampered. And he really enjoys lots and lots of interactive play time.

The Hasbro furReal Cubby, the Curious Bear is an interactive plush toy that has an innocent sense of wonder and playfulness. Just like real babies, this little cub is curious about his outer world and is learning about how to interact with people. His brown fur is velvety soft and he has a lovely heart-shaped mark on his chest. Kids feel compelled to pick him up, hug him and rock him because he’s so adorable. But, he’s a little on the hefty and bulky side and weighs just over 2 lbs. He’s not a toy you can drag to the grocery store, but more for home play adventures.

He comes with one accessory that is shaped like a beehive and has three functions. It acts as a feed bottle, and when you unwind the lid, it becomes a honeycomb soother or treat, plus the base of the bottle converts to a bear hairbrush. He does not, however, come with batteries – not even demo batteries which is a little disappointing. So, you will need to purchase 4 ‘C’ batteries to operate Cubby.

Cubby loves to talk and make sweet sounds and noises and kids are instantly captivated and mesmerized. Touch one of his sensory spots located on his head, cheeks, tummy and left paw and he’ll coo you with over 100 different sound and motion combinations and super sweet expressions. Plus, he loves, loves, loves to give hugs and kisses. Make him laugh by tickling his tummy and he’ll also move his head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and arms. You can also move his legs into a sitting or standing position.

Cubby the Curious Bear also loves to play peekaboo. He’ll put his paws over his eyes, giggle and even say peekaboo. For further interaction, talk to Cubby and he’ll jabber sweet sounds back. Secret code: sweet dreams.

If you place him on his back, he’ll raise his arms above his head, move his eyes and mouth and fall asleep. There is a night switch on his back that will shut off Cubby’s activation points after 5 minutes, during which time he will make cute sleepy sounds, play several different lullabies, including Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and make other soft nature and white noise sounds. So, he’s perfect as a nap and bedtime buddy.

Cubby the Curious Bear from Hasbro is ideal for pretend and imaginative play. Kids love toys that react to touch and respond with sounds and Cubby is happy to oblige.
