Asian Inspired Coloring Books

Coloring books are no longer just for children. Adult coloring books once thought to be childish and a silly fad, have taken on a whole new powerful life after exploding on the market several years ago. More and more people are implementing them in their lives as a means of unwinding and emotional and stress relief. They have the ability to expand our creativity as we explore various subjects and inject our choices of colors. Coloring books are a fabulous trend that has the potential to be long-term influencers on people of all ages.

Half the fun is selecting a theme that resonates with us, invites us to open the book and put colored pencil to paper. I love nature, animal, and fairytales themes because they are so magical, intricate, and enchanting, but I’m really open to any topic. There are hundreds of different themes to choose from that are engaging, interesting, and put us in that needed mindful state. It’s whatever appeals to you and relaxes you. I recently found a few Asian inspired coloring books that have such beautiful artwork, so I thought I’d share them.

The Colors of Asia

The Colors of Asia coloring book features a wealth of delicate Asian cultural designs. Here you can submerge yourself in 90 different, timeless motifs from graceful birds to tranquil gardens to fragile blossoms to intricate carpets to dainty fans to fluttering butterflies, to mythical dragons, and many more.

Some of the outlines are very bold while others are quite fine, so you’ll need sharp pencils to fill in all the tiny spaces.

Mediation on Tea

Meditations on Tea is as soothing to the soul as a flavorful cup of aromatic tea. In the Japanese tea ceremony, the act of making and drinking a bowl of tea is an act of respect, gratitude, and interconnectedness. It’s about emptying your mind of daily cares as you enjoy one of life’s simplest pleasures. Now, Meditations on Tea presents an adult coloring experience as soothing as a hot cup of your favorite tea blend.

The images are a mixture of delicate and bold whimsical works of art. The book starts off with images of Asian people in their daily habitat with splendid costumes and ornate backgrounds. The rest of the book features florals, dragonflies, butterflies fish, fans, and other Asian inspired images.
