Breville Juice Fountain Cold
Every March I have to psych myself up for some serious spring cleaning. In our home, this is not limited to the walls, closets, ceilings, or that stuffed garage; it also includes our bodies. Spring is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a juice cleanse. Juicing is the best way to fill your body with the vital nutrients and minerals we need from raw fruits and vegetables.
What are some benefits of a juice cleanse?
- Juicing helps you absorb all the vital nutrients from fruits and vegetables. This is great if you have an impaired digestive system. Juicing will help pre-digest them so you can receive most of the nutrition.
- You can consume larger amounts of vegetables by juicing them as opposed to eating them. We’re supposed to have 6 – 8 servings of juice and vegetables a day and most fail to do so.
- It allows you to broaden your food variety. Most of us stick to the same foods over and over, but with juicing you can toss in fruits and vegetables you normally avoid.
- Boosts your immune system, increases your energy, promotes weight loss, healthy brain function, and many other benefits.
I’ve juiced innumerable times and I’ve found that to be successful at it, you need a good juicer. Yes, a juicer plays a key role in how your juice is extracted and processed, plus there are many factors to consider. The three common types of juicers are masticating, twin gear, and centrifuge and each has its pros and cons from cleaning to the noise level to cost.
I was recently introduced to the Breville Juice Fountain Cold juicer and I’m very impressed with its user-friendly attributes. It’s an attractive no-nonsense centrifugal juicer that comes with a supersized jug, pulp bin, cleaning brush, a manual, and a beneficial feature that most standard juicers fail to offer.
Breville Juice Fountain Cold
Breville understands that heat and processing can damage the delicate vitamins and minerals found in fruits and vegetables which is why they created the Breville Juice Fountain Cold with cold spin technology. It filters juice through an Italian-made precision mesh filter to ensure an insignificant temperature increase. We’re talking less than 1.8° F and the result is refreshing juice that maintains more of the healthful and vital vitamins and minerals found naturally in fruits and vegetables.
Although this juicer’s body is made mostly of high-quality plastic, its blades are reinforced with titanium to enhance their durability. Its dynamic 850-watt motor will juice the toughest fruits and vegetables instantly. That is a significant power for a juicer.
The Juice Fountain Cold offers two-speed options––low speed for leafy vegetables and soft fruit and high speed for harder or denser produce. I love the two speeds for various kinds of food. I have one juicer that will not juice soft fruits like pineapple or watermelon, and it cost a lot more than this Breville. I didn’t have any issues juicing any types of produce with this juicer.
Breville Juice Fountain Cold, why I love thee. The biggest seller for me is the cold spin technology, it allows you to get the most nutrition out of your juice. Plus, you can store your freshly made juice in the fridge for up to three days without losing too many nutrients. Very, very few juicers will state you can keep your juice this long without losing all its nutritional value.
It requires a minimal amount of prep work. A lot of other juicers require you do dice your produce into smaller pieces, not the Breville Juice Fountain Cold. The system’s 3” extra-large feed chute allows whole fruits and vegetables to be juiced without pre-cutting, reducing food prep and clean-up time. The waste ends up in a removable 3.4 L pulp bin, and to simplify the cleaning process, even more, I line the pulp bin with a used produce bag.
This juicer is lightweight and moderately quiet. It’s easy to put together and by far the easiest juicer I’ve ever had to clean. Cleaning the filter and small pieces is a big turn off and dissuades people from juicing daily. This one’s a breeze to clean. I also love its appearance; its sleek and edgy look will blend in nicely with any decor.
Whether you’re a novice or pro at juicing, the Breville Juice Fountain Cold will make juicing an enjoyable experience. Ultimately, this juicer delivers high nutrient juice with greater convenience, allowing us to juice more, store more, and clean less. Available in stores or online and retails for $269.99.
