Capturing Life’s Precious Memories with BestCanvas
This summer was tough for all of us. With rigid rules and strict regulations, travel plans have been put on hold for many people. My family and I personally have a lot of special places in Europe that we love to revisit and ache to see again. While travel is out of the question, we can still reflect on our favorite memories and pour over epic photos taken years ago.
While we didn’t fly anywhere this year, all was not lost this summer season. We found an abundance of beautiful places close to home that rejuvenated our souls and lifted our spirits. We made many trips to various National parks this summer. With scrumptious picnic baskets, cameras, and trekking poles, we embraced the hiking trails and captured the breathtaking scenery around us. It’s these moments, these photos, whether past or present that create fond and lasting memories.
A great way to memorialize and relive these captured moments forever, is to make them into canvas prints or poster prints. I was able to do both with BestCanvas.ca. You can personalize your favorite photos or images into wall art in just a few minutes. Now I can enjoy seeing two of my very favorite places in the world, hanging on my wall. And the process is fun and easy.
One of my ultimate favorite places here in Canada is Moraine Lake, in Banff National Park. The color of the water is overwhelmingly beautiful. While I’ve taken hundreds of photos of this lake, each one is more stunning than the previous photo. I was able to find the perfect photo online that captured the vibe and color I wanted and chose it for my canvas print.
Canvas Prints

The first thing you need to do is upload your photo and then follow the prompts as you are walked through each step to create your unique canvas print.

Your photo or image will show up on the right side where you can adjust it to capture the exact area you like. On the left, you just check off the size you want your image made into. I chose the 40″ x 30″ to fit one of my smaller walls. If you are going to have a bigger canvas made, ensure you have a larger resolution. You also have the option to add some text to your image, like maybe a location, date, or something sentimental.

The next step is deciding whether you want a hanger set included and the thickness of your frame. Unless you are great at hanging pictures or balancing it on one nail, I’d recommend the hanger kit.

Scroll down a little further and you’ll see there are other options and design choices you can make to personalize your canvas. There are free options and advanced or enhanced options that will cost more. I chose the standard folded edge because I thought it looked the best for this image. With each choice you make, it’s reflected in the image on the right so you can see what the finished product will look like.
The last option is to frame your image. If you’d like a finer finish, then one of the frames might be just what you need to get that polished look. Or maybe you’d like a nostalgic look and opt for a black and white print. For me, I kept it simple.
If you contemplating giving canvas prints for Christmas gifts, you can’t go wrong. They offer an abundance of sizes and are very affordable!

I have several vacant beige walls in my home that are begging for a splash of color. I’m not one for hanging an image just for the sake of color though. To me, it has to evoke emotions and make me feel happy. And this clear photo-like image of Lake Morraine is perfect. It adds the color, balance, and ambiance I need in this corner of my living room. I love it!
Poster Prints

Another way to feature your favorite photos is to turn them into customizable wall art posters. This is what I did with another one of my very favorite places. We love visiting Schwangau in Bavaria, Germany where two iconic castles reside, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The path around Alpsee is very dear to me and the perfect image to be made into stunning poster prints.

The process is very simple. You upload your image and choose a size. You have the options of full color or black and white. You will receive your poster rolled up in a tube. From there you can take it to a photo center where you can personalize the mat and frame to your liking.

This lovely poster has a place high above on one of my walls in the entranceway. This space has always needed something to break up the plainness and this image of my favorite path around Lake Alpsee in Germany is perfect.
As I’ve never done this before, I was kinda shocked at the price to mount, mat, and frame this photo. My husband took it in and it ended up costing around $300. There are cheaper options on the market, so do your research before you take any poster in for framing! Although I wasn’t planning on spending that amount, I love the end result. It’s a photo I will cherish forever.
