Bamboo is fast becoming one of the most utilized plants on the planet. It’s exotic, bountiful, and it can grow up to 4 feet in a 24 hr period making it one of the most economical, renewable and sustainable resources. These attributes make it very attractive to new eco companies or existing companies who wish to expand their product line to include green alternatives.
Bamboo is used in numerous industries where they make many user-friendly products like fences, hardwood floors, ceilings, and paper products. It’s profoundly used in the textile industry. This means some companies are making clothing, towels, mattresses, blankets, pillows, sheets, diapers and so much more.
One of these companies is Cariloha. They’re an online retail store that offers us a fabulous selection of gorgeous bamboo products. Bamboo has antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and antibacterial qualities. It’s absorbent, highly breathable, anti-static, and great for sensitive skin. Knowing these qualities I knew I wanted to introduce bamboo products into my home. I had the ultimate pleasure of test driving the Cariloha bamboo sheets.
The set comes with a flat sheet, a fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. It would be hard to describe the feel of the Cariloha bamboo bedding in just a few words. They are uber soft, velvety, warm, and cozy and promote the most tranquil and peaceful sleep you will ever have. It’s been said that the bamboo sheets are softer than 1,000 thread count Egyptian cotton. I’ve personally never tried 1,000 count Egyptian cotton but I can vouch for the sheer softness of them.
The bamboo sheets have a smooth and silky plushness that is splendid on the skin. You will unconsciously sink in the sheets and completely enjoy its luxuriousness. They have a slight sheen to them that reminds me a lot of silk. But, the bamboo sheets are not slippery, they just have a lustrous warm shimmer to them.
The sheets are easy to care for. You machine wash them in cold water being careful not to use bleach or fabric softener. They washed well with no hic-ups. They maintained their original size and shape after many washes, no shrinkage or goofy distorted shape afterward. You tumble dry and then remove quickly or the sheets will wrinkle tremendously. You could iron the sheets but they will wrinkle again when you use them so I didn’t bother. They are nicely made, the seams are straight and there are no loose threads or frayed edges which I was very happy to see.
The sets come in five different subtle and calming shades, blue, white, ivory, tan, and my favorite sage. The sets are available in sizes twin, queen and king size.
I have little nieces and nephews who often stay overnight. I have a spare bedroom all set up for them but once they were onto the new sheets, they wanted to sleep on them. I didn’t think little kids would notice sheets never mind the difference in feel. This was eye-opening for me and a little humorous as well. Some of the kids have allergies to certain fabrics but they were completely fine sleeping on the bamboo sheets.
Cariloha sheets are one of the most versatile and restful sheets I’ve used. Utter comfort! I highly recommend them. Check out their other products. They carry pillows, towels, ladies clothing, men’s clothing and lots of gorgeous accessories.
