The current athleisure wear trend has turned sweats, yoga pants, and pajamas into every day normal casual wear. This fashion-forward concept of ‘my wardrobe has no boundaries’, has been pushed way beyond our cultural and public acceptance by not only the young but the older generations as well. Fashion is suggestive and contrary, so almost anything goes now. Pajamas are deemed in style. Why can’t we repurpose an article of clothing? Pajamas are no longer considered just sleepwear, but they are embraced as everyday nonchalant attire as well.
How many of you have actually worn pj’s out in public? I confess I have and I like it… no l love it. I love the freedom and comfort of unconfined clothing, plus I adore the variety of colors and prints. Would I wear them to work, no? Would I wear them to a party, I don’t know, maybe! It all depends on the host and the scenario. Would I wear them shopping and running errands, hell yes! And I do. But, I like good quality pj’s that are not only becoming, but are made from higher-end or natural fabrics like bamboo. Cariloha has a nice selection of comfortable sleepwear that can be used as casual apparel. Here are the pj’s I wear.
Bamboo Paisley Grey Pants
The Cariloha Paisley Grey Bamboo pants are my very favorite. I love the color combination of grey and aqua. These pants are made from 67% Viscose from Bamboo, 28% Organic Cotton and 5% Spandex. They’re superbly comfortable, luxuriously soft, and have oodles of stretch — no restriction anywhere. They’re lightweight, breathable, and feature a pretty brushed finish.
I love the print, it’s subtle yet has some action. The pants have a relaxed wide elastic aqua-colored waistband and drawstring for controlled comfort and a stylish 3 button placket. They have an even double stitch on the hem so they won’t look distressed or fray on you. They hang nice, wear well, and wash easily. I was mine in cold water and allow them to air dry. I find this way they maintain their shape and color a lot longer. I love them.
Bamboo Dolman V Neck Top
The Cariloha Bamboo Dolman V neck top is made from 67% Viscose from Bamboo, 28% Organic Cotton and 5% Spandex. This aqua top matches the pj’s previously mentioned and looks great as a set.
The Bamboo Dolman top is super soft, super comfortable, lightweight, and made from a specially tailored blend of bamboo fabric that is naturally thermal regulating and moisture-wicking. It’s brushed finish makes this top even softer than their regular bamboo apparel. The sleeves are tapered, it has impeccable stitch work and the fabric wears well. It’s also easy to wash – cold water and you can put it in the dryer, but I like to air dry bamboo garments.
Bamboo Ankle Socks
The Cariloha Bamboo Socks allow you to treat your feet and tootsies with the comfort of bamboo. They are super soft and feature naturally odor-resistant, moisture-wicking properties to help keep your feet cool and comfy. With Cariloha’s signature arch support and seamless toe construction, these socks will feel blissful to wear.
I wear these socks a lot. They feel great to wear and they don’t slide down in your shoe like some ankle socks. Made from 62% Viscose from Bamboo, 28% Organic Cotton, 5% Nylon and 5% Spandex. They’re available in sizes S/M and L/XL and several other colors. Having hand-linked toe stitching makes socks feel seamless.
There is no question that people are putting comfort first and breaking all kinds of fashion no-no rules. They are turning to companies like Cariloha where comfort, style, and natural fabrics are combined for our needs.
