Crochet Donut Buddies Craft Book
There isn’t a day that goes by where I’m not crocheting something. I confess, I’m addicted to this craft and I’m one of those who is always looking for new patterns and the yarn to create them. One of my favorite things to crochet is baby items. I’ve made an abundance of adorable slippers, hats, pacifier clips, toys, blankets, and more. But when I find something unique and different, I just have to check it out. I recently discovered a new release that offers darling amigurumi patterns just for babies and toddlers, it’s Crochet Donut Buddies, and I’m smitten.
Meet the Crochet Donut Buddies, the cutest collectible toys for kids. Just like real donuts, it’s impossible to stop at just one!

Inside this delightful book, you will find 50 amigurumi donut buddy patterns available in your favorite animal or critter. There are several characters you can group into fun collections like farm animals, safari animals, sea creatures, holiday favorites, insects, dinosaurs, birds and more. They’re the perfect toy for babies and infants. They’re soft sensory and interactive toys that encourage children to grab, hold, feel, toss, observe, hear and play. All the different designs have visually pleasing colors and fun shapes for children to enjoy.

The book starts off with a guide on how to use the instructions properly to get your desired results. Then you have a list of the tools and materials you will need, so you’ll want to get these ahead of time. Next, you’ll be introduced to the Basic Donut patterns. You will use this pattern for every design in the book as your donut base. Then you will add your icing, sprinkles, eyes, and other body parts or appendages according to your specific amigurumi pattern instructions. You may also want to add a noisy rattle to your toy. Rattles promote cognitive and gross motor skills and foster eye and hand coordination.
Each pattern features detailed written instructions and a supply list along with two full-color images The patterns are rated by difficulty from one donut to five donuts. One donut is the easiest and five donuts require more crochet skills. The back of the book shares some accessory patterns, some crochet techniques and some fun ways to create games with the Donut Buddies.
I love this crochet book and I’m happy to have it in my craft collection. I can see the Donut Buddies being popular and more designs surfacing in the future.
