Crock-Pot with Little Dipper
Cutting down on meal prep and cooking time is undeniably a wish all of us would welcome. I like to make a lot of casseroles and soups but this is not possible if I come home late. One of the easiest ways to accomplish making wholesome meals is with a crockpot.
Crock-Pot believes in creating slow cookers that make life a whole lot easier and more economical when planning our meals. My mom used a slow cooker when I was growing up but I admit I’ve never owned one myself. I often wondered why not!

I had the opportunity to try out the Crock-Pot 6 Quarts Programmable Slow Cooker with Little Dipper Warmer. First I want to say that the Crock-Pot arrived very quickly and was extremely well-packed. This crock-pot is huge, 6 quarts, ideal for up to 7 people. I don’t mind having leftovers at all, my family loves them the next day. The outside is made from stainless steel, the inside is made from a thick and durable ceramic stoneware and it comes with a glass lid.
The controls are very easy to use. There are four different times of cooking, 4 hrs, 6 hrs on high and 8 hrs, and 10 hrs on low and then there is a warm setting. You simply press the power button until you get to the length of time you want your crock-pot to stay on. It will automatically switch to the warm setting when the cooking time is done. That’s it!
I’ve made several casseroles and soups in the crockpot. I put all the ingredients in the morning, went out for the day and returned to have dinner ready and steaming. It’s such a handy appliance to have in your home and I wish I knew how wonderful they are years ago.
This crock-pot is very heavy so little kids would not be able to handle it, plus it does get very hot. I love that the black ceramic inside is removable and can be used as a serving dish. It looks lovely on the table with its nice waffle design on the upper part. Clean-up is very easy too with its stick-resistant coating.
The crock-pot came with a Little Dipper. It’s a little stainless steel mini warmer. It’s perfect for gravy, sauce or dips that you want to stay warm during your meal. It’s the cutest little pot and it works great. I use the crockpot at least once a week now and I’m loving it. Check out the recipes on the Crock-Pot site. There are also gazillions of recipes online created just for a crock pot. The possibilities are endless.
