How I love everything about the holiday season! For many, it really is the most wonderful time of the year. The ambiance, the smells, the music, the movies, the food, the crackling fireplace, and the gorgeous ornaments and decorations. I personally love the aroma of traditional holiday spices wafting through my home when I bake yummy cookies. It puts me in a festive spirit and inspires me to prepare for the holiday season ahead. It’s these warm and cozy things that we look forward to each year. And it’s never too early to start our holiday preparations.
Christmas is only 10 weeks away and most of us like to get a head start on baking, gift making or buying, and of course, decorating. I’m an avid and addicted crocheter, so I make the majority of my gifts. But, I’ve never made my own holiday decorations, so I set out to find the most enchanting and whimsical patterns ever.
My favorite place to look for patterns is Etsy and I found an abundance of adorable patterns for the holiday season. If you are a crocheter or know someone who is, then you will appreciate the skill, effort and work that went into creating these winsome patterns. These are some of my very favorites. Check them out!
Christmas Amigurumi from CrochetCuteAnimals
When I first saw this bundle of charming Christmas amigurumi gnome, snowman, elf, mailbox, and mushroom patterns, I was mesmerized. Pattern designer Hope Zabavatoy has captured the essence of Christmas with these adorable patterns and has made them available on her Etsy store CrochetCuteAnimals.
These holiday patterns have the essence of nostalgia, but with a present-day vibe. I think they’re absolutely stunning and perfect to bring out every Christmas year after year. The love the cute little face and portly bodies of the gnomes! And how about that festive mailbox, it would make an ideal centerpiece for guests and family to admire. There is still time to make some jolly decorations, like your own Elf on the Shelf, and display him for the holiday season! Right now this bundle is on sale for 70% off!

Christmas Decorations from RNata
I’ve been a huge fan of Natalia from Rnata on Etsy for a long time. Her patterns are endearing, super cute and have so much character. Aside from the set shown above, she has an abundance of festive patterns to choose from. This set of Crochet Christmas decorations include an elf, bear, fox, candle and snowman.
They’re the sweetest cuddly ornaments for Christmas time! You definitely won’t want to make just one, so thankfully for you, five patterns are included in one! Hang them from your Christmas tree, set them on your mantle, add a rattle inside for a baby gift or hide them in your Christmas stockings. These festive little guys are sure to add some holiday cheer, so pull out your yarn and start creating some ornaments your family will enjoy every winter season.

Christmas Ornaments from HappyDollsHandMade

There is nothing more fun and exciting during the holiday season than decorating the Christmas tree. Twinkling lights, sparkling tinsel and cheerful ornaments. Growing up we had a lot of Christmas baubles made out of glass or other breakable material. Needless to say, most of them didn’t last long. Crocheting your baubles means you will have them for a lifetime.
Julia Negovorina from HappyDollsHandMade on Etsy has designed a group of 5 adorable holiday bauble patterns that include a snowman, reindeer, elf, gingerbread man, and a cow/bull. I love them and can see them on my tree already. Oh, what fun it is to crochet holiday ornaments. Right now, this set is on sale for 70% off!
They certainly are adorable. My favourite is the elf with the striped leggings.
I adore that little guy too. He’ll be fun to crochet too.
