They are made out of 100% polyester so they feel like a thick fabric, there is no plastic at all! The shower curtain has a silky and ever so slight sheen to it that permits the water to bead off it. It’s very well made with seams on all sides allowing the shower curtain to drape beautifully across your shower rod.
I was curious to see how well the shower curtain washed so I put mine in the washer on gentle and rehung it to air dry. It washed splendidly. It did not shrink or lose any of its colors. I can see that this shower curtain is going to outlast the other ones I have in my home by years and years. It’s clearly more economical to buy a great shower curtain once than to spend $20 every year or so on the cheaper kind.
