Eartheasy Fagor Splendid Five Piece Set
The holiday season is by far the busiest time of the year. We’re cheerfully overloaded with festive frivolities that include decorating, gift shopping, entertaining, and importantly baking and cooking. We’re under pressure to get them done promptly and efficiently, so we can relax and enjoy the splendors of the holidays. Christmas demands that we amp up our holiday menu and cook up some delicious meals and decadent treats, and this can be time-consuming. What better time of year to use a Fagor pressure cooker to alleviate some cooking time.
I have never used a pressure cooker before, but when I received the Fagor Splendid Five Piece Set from Eartheasy, I was impressed. The set comes with an 8-quart Splendid pressure cooker, 4-quart Splendid pot, stainless-steel pasta/steamer basket with trivet, glass lid, instruction manual, and a full-color recipe book. This sleek set is made of high-quality stainless steel and has a gorgeous mirror appearance.
Using the Fagor Splendid set cuts down on a lot of cooking time, and also reduces energy costs. But only pressure 15psi cookers like the Fagor Splendid can cook foods at the fastest speed available.

I found the instruction manual informative and easy to understand, even though I’m a visual learner. There are only a few simple rules to follow to ensure success when using the Fagor Pressure Cooker. It must always have fluid, either water or your favorite broth. The pressure cooker cannot be overfilled; if you try it, you’ll have a big hot mess. There is a fill line about two-thirds up the side of the pot that you can use as your gauge. There is a silicone gasket that must be in place before you start cooking or pressure cannot build up. They recommend you give the gasket a light coat of oil to maximize your cooking performance; we used olive oil.
When you’re ready to start cooking, the lid must be locked into place. There is a line on the lid that must line up with the handle, then you simply twist it into place. The operating value has three images, and the dial needs to be on the pot image in order to begin cooking. The other two images are for releasing pressure in the pot and to remove the value. Before you start cooking, you’ll also need to slide the pressure safety lock up into place. Once the pressure cooker gets hot, the yellow indicator button will pop up to prevent you from opening the lid. I love all it’s safety features. It’s very easy to use and we made several recipes from the accompanying recipe book.
There are over 50 recipes in the Fagor Pressure Cookbook, with lots of colorful mouthwatering images. I made the Spinach Pesto Pasta recipe in seven minutes. Seriously, this was the fastest cooked meal I’ve ever made. The prep work only involved chopping up some spinach and garlic; otherwise, the pressure cooker did the rest. It’s a hearty dish that turned out delicious and perfect.
The holiday season is all about spending time with the family, not slaving in the kitchen if you don’t have to. Let Fagor step in and assist you during the holidays with their Pressure Cooker; you can literally create cozy and tasty meals in no time. I honestly love my pressure cooker and have no idea how I’ve survived all these years without one. The Fagor Pressure Cooker is a must have a convenient appliance for every kitchen. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and a godsend!
