Enjoying the Holiday Weather with Skechers!
Living in Canada means expecting and accepting brutal weather conditions during the winter. Temperatures can range from the average -15 degrees Celcius (5 °Fahrenheit) to below -40 degrees Celcius (-40 ° Fahrenheit) with severe wind chills. I recall one winter where the temperatures dropped to -55 with the windchill; I felt bad for those who had to go out. Dressing warm enough to tolerate these glacial temperatures is critical, especially when it comes to our feet. We’re a Skechers family, and we rely on their boots to keep our tender tootsies cozy warm.
When looking for new boots, I use to think that I had to settle for either fashion or practical and warm, but not so with Skechers. They offer a variety of trendy boots that are built to withstand harsh winters. We love our Skechers, and here are our favorites this year.
Highlander – Cottontail
The Highlanders – Cottontail Boots are everything I need in winter footwear. They’re attractive, tall, winterized with 200g 3M Thinsulate insulation, and can be worn comfortably in -25 Celsius temperatures. They also have a Hydroguard waterproof design with a smooth waterproof faux leather upper and a waterproof ripstop parka nylon fabric shaft. The moisture literally beads off.
I’m cautious when walking on ice and snow, so I want a boot with great traction. The Highlanders – Cottontail boots have a flexible long-wearing, heavy-duty rubber traction outsole, and a wraparound rubber mudguard trim. The boots have a 10 1/4 inch tall shaft height, a 5 inch adjustable top width with a 15 inch adjustable top circumference, and a 3/4 length gusseted side zipper for easier access.
I love the soft faux fur collar trim and lace-up accents. But most importantly, the boots offer supreme comfort with their cushioned insole and shock absorbing midsole. These boots offer the best in outdoor performance and will keep your feet toasty this winter.
On The Go 400 – Glacial
The Skechers On The Go 400 Glacial Boots are sporty and stylish with a soft suede leather foot and a quilted tweed, sweater knit fabric upper. They have a lace-up front closure for a snug fit and a cozy faux fur collar for extra warmth and comfort that continues all the way inside the boot. There’s a pull tab at the back for additional assistance pulling on your boots.
They reach the mid-calf height and boast a 5GENâ„¢ midsole and Goga Mat insole for shock absorption. The biometric midsole is constructed for support, stability, and absolute comfort. The footbed is made of molded foam material that fits on top of the 5GENâ„¢ midsole. These multipurpose boots will keep you all cozied up this winter while you’re break trailing or going for a walk. They look great with jeans or a dress.
D’Lites – Chateau
The D’Lites – Chateau Boots are gorgeous; they look like a cross between a ski boot, hiking boot, and sneaker. They have a duel upper surface made of soft suede and a smooth parka nylon fabric. They have a durable D-ring sporty lace-up closure for a snug and warm fit. The padded shaft, the collar, and tongue have a soft faux fur lining and trim with durable fabric edging.
The boots also come with a removable cushion bed for extra comfort. They have a cushion comfort insole and a shock-absorbing lightweight D’Lites midsole which rests on a flexible rubber traction outsole. Your ankles will be warm with the 5 1/2 inches tall shaft with comfortable with a 4-inch top width for a 12-inch top circumference. We waterproofed the D’Lites and they’ve become my niece’s favorite go-to boot. They slip on easily and feel like you’re wearing slippers. Your little piggies will squeal with D’Lite in them.
Relaxed Fit: Relment – Pelmo
No matter what age kids are, they seem mesmerized by puddles. They couldn’t possibly go around them, right? The Skechers Relaxed Fit Relment– Pelmo Boots are made from durable waterproof sports suede combined with synthetic and mesh fabric. They’re a lace-up ankle height comfort hiking style boot with stitching with metal hardware and overlay accents that make for an attractive boot. They’re sturdy and have a reinforced toe area, and there’s plenty of padding around the collar. There’s memory foam in the footbed which is extremely comfortable and a durable rubber outsole for great traction and stability.
Guys don’t say too much about footwear; they just won’t wear them if their feet hurt. My nephew loves his new Relaxed Fit Relment boots and was impressed with the spongy comfort level, warmth, and moisture protection. He’s happy he’ll have warm and dry feet this year.
Relaxed Fit: Holdren – Brenton
My husband is not too fussy about footwear either. The only criteria are that they be comfortable and have lots of traction. The Relaxed Fit: Holdren – Brenton Boots are lightweight and offer more wiggle room for, as the name suggests, a more comfortable and roomy fit. They’re made from a durable smooth oiled leather with canvas fabric and Cordura mesh fabric overlays. The toes are reinforced and there are leather overlays on the heel and laces. The tongue and collar are padded for extra comfort and the inside has a soft fabric boot lining.
The best part is the Memory Foam full length cushioned comfort insole, the Extreme Cushion lightweight shock absorbing midsole design, and the flexible rubber high traction outsole. This trio makes for the most comfortable boot a man could ask for. My husband had a chance to wear them when we got our first serious snowfall. He loves how soft and yielding they are, and how good their traction is on snow and ice.
Skechers is always the first place we look to for boots. They offer stylish and trendy boots for the whole family, and they understand our need for comfort. This year give the gift of footwear from Skechers. Your family will love you.
