Fresh and Fast Vegan Cookbook
Despite our efforts to lead a relatively normal quiet life, we always seem to be rushing and meeting deadlines. As a result, a lot of us are not eating quality meals. It’s just so much easier to put up some fast food that might taste good but falls short of being nutritional.
I like to create appealing healthy and delicious meals but I don’t want to slave in the kitchen for hours every day. I think most of us feel this way. I came across a fabulous cookbook that checks off all my wants for meal preparation. Fresh and Fast Vegan is loaded with nourishing and innovative meals that you can prepare in 30 minutes or less. This is definitely my kind of cookbook.
Fresh and Fast Vegan is uncomplicated to use and is divided into five categories for our quick reference.
Starters: Here there are numerous yummy recipes that are not only mouthwatering, but they are also healthy. There were several recipes that we absolutely loved like the Hot and Spicy Popcorn, Parsley and Garlic Pita Toasts, Potatoes with Broad Beans and Mint Vinaigrette and my very favorite is the Vegetables in a Crispy Batter. The popcorn recipes have been made many times already.
Snacks & Light Meals: Theses recipes are slightly heartier than the Starter recipes but equally as tasty and time-saving. My family is quite hip on potatoes so they loved the Spanish Potato Gratin, Warm Lemon and Olive Oil Beans on Rosemary Mashed Potatoes. One of my favorites is the Vivid Beet and Horseradish Gnocchi.
Sandwiches: Although there are only 4 different sandwich recipes, we loved all of them. My family really loved the Avocado Butter with Tomato Relish in Focaccia but my favorite is the Carrots with Mint and Lime Dressing in Pita Bread.
Main Course: These recipes are splendiferous and unique. How about savoring on some Moroccan pilaf, Wontons with Chili Sauce, Tuscan Tarts, or some yummy Vegan Lasagna. You could make a different meal for dinner every night of the month. There is so much variety.
Desserts:Â My favorite section is always the desserts. Here the author offers an abundant selection of warm and cool desserts. We loved the Pecan and Butternut Squash Tart and the Crispy Cinnamon Bread Knots with Apricot Sauce was the favorite by far.
I thought this cookbook was fabulous because it really invites you to try different foods and food combos that are simply sublime together. The recipes may sound time-consuming but don’t let the names fool you. They were easy to whip up. It offers a diversion from the regular humdrum meals we typically resort to out of habit. It’s a great addition to my culinary collection.
