Hey, Guardians of the Galaxy fans, have you heard that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be released on May 5, 2017? We get to reconnect with our favorite characters as they wander the outer reaches of the cosmos. In celebration of this awesome release, Hasbro has created some really cute Guardian of the Galaxy kids toys, and we love them.

I Am Groot, Dancing Baby Groot Toy

If you remember the ending of the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, Groot sacrifices himself in order to save his friends. That was a sad scene and we got all choked up. Deeply saddened, Racoon gathers up a few of the remaining branches that were previously Groot and places them into a planter. Guess what, Groot starts to grow again. Previews of the new movie show a baby Groot dancing, and apparently, he’s a rambunctious little rascal, but totally adorable.

Meet the adorable 11.5-inch interactive and electronic Baby Groot toy! He’s a handsome little figure with translucent eyes and a bark-like plastic body with tiny bits of green foliage growing here and there. His midriff is more rubbery and hides the mechanics of the toy. He has an off/on switch on the back of his left leg. Press the green leaf on the front of his left leg and he says, “I am Groot.” Press again and his eyes will light up and his body and head will groove to the official soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 — and that track is “Come a Little Bit Closer.” Hi head bobbles but always returns to the center position, and you can move his arms to different positions.

Hold the green activation button down for a few seconds, and Baby Groot will be in music detection mode. He’ll then respond by swaying and jiggling to any external music playing around him. 3 AA batteries are required, but demo batteries included with the toy along with an instruction manual. Recommended for ages 4+ Dancing Groot retails for $34.99 and will hit store shelves this spring.

Star-Lords Mask

Peter Quill is human, so he needs to wear a breathing mask to protect him from the vacuum of space. It apparently also houses a comm system so he can communicate with his team.

This Star-Lord mask was designed to look just like the one Peter wears in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. The details are realistic, allowing young imaginations to create some awesome role-playing. Now they can recreate their favorite scenes or make up their own intergalactic battles. The mask has red translucent eyes, a rubber eyepiece, and an adjustable rubber band. Recommended for kids ages 4+, but let’s be honest, most adults will try it on. Mask fits most heads. Superpowers not included. Retails for 12.99.

Guardians of the Galaxy 12″ Titan Hero Series

This 12″ action figure is all geared up for battle. Star-Lord comes with 2 guns that are removable and snap into his hand or onto his outer thighs for quick reach. He also comes with a mask, but you cannot remove it, unfortunately. This figure features multiple points of articulation with ball jointed shoulders and legs, and his wrists move a little. No fear, he can move freely enough to grab his weapons and blast the bad guys. Recommend for ages 4+ and retails for $9.99.

Guardians of the Galaxy 6″ Action Figures

Rocket Racoon is a prominent character in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. He’s an intelligent, albeit grumpy, anthropomorphic raccoon, who is an expert marksman, master tactician, and ace pilot. And he’s not afraid to take the bad guys down. Hey did you know that he’s one of the few characters that can understand what Groot is saying?

This Rocket Racoon 6″ toy comes with a weapon and baby Groot in a planter. His head, arms, shoulders, elbows, and hips articulate very well. Recommended for ages 4+ and retails for $7.99.

Groot has a limited vocabulary, but he’s a loyal friend and protector of justice. He’s also our favorite Guardians of the Galaxy character. When you unbox Groot, you’ll see he comes in three pieces, so a small amount of assembling is required. All you have to do is snap on his lower legs. He bends at the hips, knees and elbows, and his head and arms swivel all the way around. Groot does not come with any accessories. Recommended for ages 4+ and retails for $7.99.
