Handmade Crocheted Adorables for Kids

Although I crochet all year round, when it comes to the holiday season, I invariably have a lot more projects on the go. I put a lot of thought and love into the personalized handmade gifts I make for my family and friends. And this year is no different. I usually start my holiday crafts fairly early in spring or summer, but sometimes no matter how many times I flip through my patterns, I’m not feeling it. So, I’ll wait for that special pattern to appear from one of my Etsy sources. I rely completely on my eclectic pattern collection to discern what item I will make for specific people in my life. But if I can’t find the perfect one, the clever and creative Etsy designers never let me down.

I hope you will enjoy them as well.

Home is wear the heart is! Both kids and adults would enjoy wearing this lovely hat. Just looking at the hat design makes you feel all warm and cozy inside. This crocheted Hearts Hat was designed by Lucie from LucieHandmadeCZ on Etsy and I think it’s lovely.

To me signs and symbols have energy and the heart has one of the highest frequencies. It’s a positive symbol and immediately puts everyone in a happier mood. I love the two-tone colors that you can blend harmoniously with your winter coat and other accessories. You can amp it up by putting more than one heart on your hat and adding a big fluffy pom-pom.

The pattern is well laid out, easy to follow, and has an abundance of photos as tutorials, including a heart chart. The sizes range from 35 cm (13.5 inches) to 58 cm (23 inches), so you can make this hat for everyone in your family. It’s the perfect pattern for the holidays and last-minute gifts from your heart.

You can see each step along the way as you crochet along. But Anna has gone a step further and has created a video where she makes a complete slipper. Look at those sweet little crocheted faces and cute ears, I love this Tiger Set as much as a child would. I’m a big fan of rattles; they’re a neutral toy that can be made for boys or girls. Babies love bright colors and things that make noise, so the rattle is perfect for them. They will enjoy grabbing and playing with them and developing their fine motor skills. The Tiger Bootie pattern comes in 3 sizes from newborn to 12 months.

The pattern is really nice, easy to follow, and has oodles of step-by-step tutorial photos. Plus if you need a little extra help, there is a link to a video. The video seems to start midway through the bootie at the instep. It’s helpful and great for visual learners. Right now this precious pattern is on sale for 50% off! There is still plenty of time to make handmade gifts with love for your family and friends. What a perfect keepsake these will be!
