Handmade Crocheted Adorables for Kids
Although I crochet all year round, when it comes to the holiday season, I invariably have a lot more projects on the go. I put a lot of thought and love into the personalized handmade gifts I make for my family and friends. And this year is no different. I usually start my holiday crafts fairly early in spring or summer, but sometimes no matter how many times I flip through my patterns, I’m not feeling it. So, I’ll wait for that special pattern to appear from one of my Etsy sources. I rely completely on my eclectic pattern collection to discern what item I will make for specific people in my life. But if I can’t find the perfect one, the clever and creative Etsy designers never let me down.

I love to crochet anything and everything! But, this holiday season, I’m making adorable wearables for the kids in my family. I recently perused Etsy and found some of the most darling patterns on the market. They’re unique, enchanting and will become my go-to patterns year after year. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you will enjoy them as well.
Home is wear the heart is! Both kids and adults would enjoy wearing this lovely hat. Just looking at the hat design makes you feel all warm and cozy inside. This crocheted Hearts Hat was designed by Lucie from LucieHandmadeCZ on Etsy and I think it’s lovely.
To me signs and symbols have energy and the heart has one of the highest frequencies. It’s a positive symbol and immediately puts everyone in a happier mood. I love the two-tone colors that you can blend harmoniously with your winter coat and other accessories. You can amp it up by putting more than one heart on your hat and adding a big fluffy pom-pom.
The pattern is well laid out, easy to follow, and has an abundance of photos as tutorials, including a heart chart. The sizes range from 35 cm (13.5 inches) to 58 cm (23 inches), so you can make this hat for everyone in your family. It’s the perfect pattern for the holidays and last-minute gifts from your heart.
Decades and decades of generic and boring baby slipper patterns have come to an end. No longer do your babies have to settle for plain, old-fashioned, and dowdy footwear. Now baby slipper patterns are stylish and fashion-forward with new designs being popping up all the time. Talented designers like Anna from the CrochetClubStore on Etsy created these adorable Baby Vans Sneaker Slippers, and moms everywhere are going to fall in love with these crocheted cuties.
This Sneaker pattern is awesome. It’s a neutral girl/boy pattern and comes in 4 different sizes. The detailed written instructions are accompanied by lots of step-by-step photo tutorials. You can see each step along the way as you crochet along. But Anna has gone a step further and has created a video where she makes a complete slipper. If you are a visual learner, new to crocheting, or need some clarity, then you will really appreciate watching this video tutorial. What a great idea. If you have a baby in your life or know someone who does, what a lovely gift these Van Sneakers would make! Right now this pattern is on sale for 40% off!
This fur-ocious but adorable duo would make any infant giggle with joy. The quaint Tiger Rattle and Booties set was created by Nika from iMoccs on Etsy and I’m roaring to make them. Kids of all ages are enamored with tigers and they will be eager to test drive these cuffed critters.
Look at those sweet little crocheted faces and cute ears, I love this Tiger Set as much as a child would. I’m a big fan of rattles; they’re a neutral toy that can be made for boys or girls. Babies love bright colors and things that make noise, so the rattle is perfect for them. They will enjoy grabbing and playing with them and developing their fine motor skills. The Tiger Bootie pattern comes in 3 sizes from newborn to 12 months.
The pattern is really nice, easy to follow, and has oodles of step-by-step tutorial photos. Plus if you need a little extra help, there is a link to a video. The video seems to start midway through the bootie at the instep. It’s helpful and great for visual learners. Right now this precious pattern is on sale for 50% off! There is still plenty of time to make handmade gifts with love for your family and friends. What a perfect keepsake these will be!
Oh, my word, each of your crocheted item is cuter than the next. You have a gift with the hook!
