Hasbro Family Game Night

With all the hyper-connected games kids can play online, it’s easy for them to disconnect from the family. These over-stimulating games can become addictive and desensitized kids from the value of hanging out with their family. That’s why we love Hasbro games, they bring families together. There is a huge variety of Hasbro games on the market to choose from and we have a cupboard full. Every time we play a Hasbro game, we unbox good times and new memories. Here are some of our favorites.

Monopoly Classic Game

Classic Monopoly game

The Monopoly board game has been around since 1935 and there have been umpteen different versions of it created over the years. It’s a game that requires skill, conniving, scheming and big-time dreaming. The goal is to own as many properties on the board and to bankrupt your opponents.

The newest version of Monopoly has new chance cards and some new cool tokens including Rubber Ducky, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Penguin. The game includes a gameboard, 8 Tokens, 28 Title Deed Cards, 16 Chance Cards, 16 Community Chest Cards, 32 Houses, 12 Hotels, 2 Dice, Money Pack and instructions. Monopoly is a fun family game that can last for hours, even days! Game on! Recommended for ages 8+. Retails for around $20.

Scrabble game

The original version of Scrabble arrived on the scene is 1938 and has gone through several changes over the years. Today, it’s one of the most popular Hasbro games on the market. Here players can test their spelling skills with the use of tiles. Each tile has a letter with numbered points. The more difficult the word, the higher the points and the bigger the score. Build off another word and score big on a double or triple word space. The game includes 1 gameboard, 100 wooden letter tiles, 4 tile racks, 1 drawstring letter bag and game guide. 2 to 4 players can enjoy this game together. I love this game and can play it for hours.

Monopoly Deal

Monopoly Deal card game

Don’t have room for a board game or are limited for time, then you’ll love the Monopoly Deal Card Game. The object of this game is to be the first player to collect 3 complete Property Sets of different colors. Each player gets a Quick Start card as a reference plus 5 cards dealt face down. The rest of the cards are placed in the center as a draw deck. When it’s your turn, you pick up two more cards from the deck. You can opt to play no cards or up to 3 cards from your deck. But, you can only have 7 at one time in your hand, so you have to choose wisely and discard the cards you don’t want. If you happen to run out of cards, you will pick 5 cards instead of 2 from the deck on your next turn. We found that it took a few runs to learn this card game, but it was tons of fun. It comes with 110 cards including Property Cards, Rent Cards, House and Hotel Cards, and Wild Property Cards. Recommended for ages 8+ and Retails for around $7.
