Juice It Recipe Book
Health-savvy people are becoming more aware of the nutrient-deficient products on store shelves, so they’re choosing to be more selective and conscious of the foods they ingest. More and more people are opting to purchase organic fruits and veggies, and are cleaning up their diets because they want to give their bodies higher-value foods. A good way to get all the nutrition from your foods is to juice.
About 95% of the vitamins and minerals our bodies need to thrive are found in raw fruits and vegetables. When we drink freshly made vegetable and fruit juices, highly concentrated vitamins, minerals, and enzymes rapidly enter our bloodstream where they are absorbed and put to work energizing our bodies.
There is a deluge of juicing books on the market, but if you’re looking for one to get you started, I would highly suggest you check out Juice It!
This vibrant little book is so well written, and bursting with the ‘how to get started’, of juicing. All the groundwork is done for you. There are 65 delicious recipes that will help bring your body back into balance. What I really appreciate is a number of colorful images in this book, they’re so tasty and mouth-watering visually. I also value the recipes for juice pulp the author has included. That’s a fabulous bonus!!
The idea is to provide us with powerhouse juices that will make our bodies totally vibrate with the healing and nutritional essence of each ingredient. The book is divided into four chapters, each with an intention.
Chapter 1 will kick-start your day with juices that will put some thrust in your step. I adore the Oh My Darling Rosemary Clementine juice. It’s delicious and very hydrating. The Ginger Jolt is fabulous as well. I wouldn’t have thought to put these ingredients together, but they work so harmoniously nice together. It’s a creamy juice with a jolt alright!
Chapter 2 is the biggest section and focuses on healing. It offers assistance with minor ailments or conditions. Have a foggy brain, you’ll want to try the Brain Booster. I happen to love kale so the Kale Country juice resonated with me. It’s full of vitamins and minerals that will enrich your body with loads of iron. It contains beets which increase stamina, lower blood pressure, detox and fight inflammation. I’ll also include an apple sometimes too. It’s an awesome drink!
Chapter 3 is for chilling out and getting mellow. These juices will put your mind, body, and spirit on relax mode. The Apple Pie juice will have you calm and enjoying every sip. I tried the Grape’s Night Sleep and was surprised that brewed chamomile tea was an ingredient. The flavors are wonderful together and quite soothing.
Chapter 4 is all about having fun while juicing. I really like the Ginger Pina Colada, it’s so easy to make and taste so good. I make this one a lot. You’ll feel like you’re cheating, but actually, you’re infusing your body with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidant-rich ingredients.
Juice It offers a clever and fun way to incorporate more fruits and veggies into your diet. It’s a great book to have in my home and I love that its part of my culinary collection.
