Did You Know? Earth answers over 200 about our beloved blue planet – the third rock from the sun. The book is divided into 5 chapters, Our Planet, The Earth’s Surface, Blue Planet, Up In The Air, and Living On The Earth.

Kids can journey through the planet while exploring an extensive range of Earth topics. Each page has a question in big bold letters. It’s answered with easy-to-read content and visually support with informative illustrations and true-life images. Kids will glean more information with various pop-up boxes that feature a Picture Quiz, Quick Quiz, or True or False. Each quiz asks one to three questions and pages where the answers can be found.

Did you know that Obsidian is a type of glass made by volcanoes? Granite is a popular rock because it’s really tough. Did you know that Mount Rushmore is chiseled out of a granite cliff? Aside from a variety of colors, rocks and minerals come in unique shapes.

Some of the gorgeous rocks kids will learn about are Amazonite, Jade, Tourmaline, Labradorite, Fluorite, Quartz, Mica Moonstone, and Schist. The back of the book shares how pearls are made, highlights birthstones, and has a glossary of all the specimens shown in this book. The book is a great introduction into the rock and crystal world.
