As much as I really dislike summer ending, I love, love, love autumn. Some of us are already preparing for the holiday season and jotting down recipe ideas. We might also be making our gift list and with that, many try to win lovely prizes to give during the holiday season. If that is you, scroll down down to enter some great prizes.

Kitchen Magick: A Recipe Deck for Witches

This time of year we look forward to the coming holiday season. A big part of our celebrations is the food we not only eat but also take great joy and pride in preparing a variety of delicious dishes. Each season brings us an abundance of unique foods that we use to create scrumptious meals for our family and friends, especially during the festive season. While we may enjoy the flavors and texture, there may be a deeper reason why we are drawn to and love these foods. Mother Nature has created a magical connection between foods and their energy and their effect on our bodies. Plus, you may not realize that our intention while cooking has an effect on our energy as well. This is what is inferred in Kitchen Magick: A Recipe Deck for Witches.

Kitchen Magick, a recipe deck for Witches.

Secret code: Harvest Season. Kitchen Witchery was created by a modern-day witch who feels that practicing magick and cooking are two crafts that are related to each other. All the recipes in this deck were referenced and inspired by the Wheel of the Year which includes four solar festivals and four seasonal celebrations. When we gather and use different vegetables, herbs, and spices specific to each Wheel of the Year period, we are giving respect to nature and its cycle. In essence, we are consciously creating recipes with intent, purpose, and love throughout the year.

Inside the Kitchen Magick deck, you will find 52 recipe cards that were created for each sabbat. Each section features mouthwatering meals, baked goods, drinks, and more. One side of the card shares a recipe and its reverse side features beautiful images of that recipe. They also share information about the different pagan rituals and holidays, and the symbolism in the ingredients. The card stock is a nice thickness with moderate flexibility and is made to tolerate a busy kitchen. They come in a sturdy keepsake box that is easy to store and takes up very little space. The only drawback for me is the small font. It’s a challenge to see if you have any vision problems.

Some of the included recipes are Faerie Sweet Milk, Mini Pumpkin Pies, Vegan Blueberry Pancakes, Fluffy Loaf, Carrot Bread, Cinnamon Rolls, Winter Spelt Buns, and many more. It’s a beautiful deck and perfect for those seeking a deeper connection to Mother Nature and who have a love for cooking and magick.
