PetSafe CozyUp Folding Steps

The PetSafe CozyUp Folding Pet Steps is great for both cats and dogs. Beds today are higher with many having drawers underneath for storage. This extra height can hinder our pets from jumping on the bed so they can sleep or cuddle. Also, some cats and dogs are small breeds, so they don’t have the power to jump on other household furniture or over certain heights. Plus, aging pets have less mobility and need more assistance. Here is where the pet-friendly CozyUp Folding Pet Step can come in handy. secret code: I love animals.

The new CozyUp Folding Pet Steps comes in two colors and two sizes, 20 inches and 25 inches high. They measure 24 in L X 16 in W X 20 in H and 28 in L X 18 in W X 25 in H.  In the large steps, each step is 5 inches (12.7 cm). In the extra-large, each step is 7 inches deep (17.8 cm).

The step is made from a durable plastic that can tolerate a lot of weight. The smaller step can support pets weighing up to 150 lbs and the larger step can support pets that weigh up to 200 lbs. It’s lightweight, sturdy and you can snug it up against any piece of furniture. Safety features include nonskid feet, fabric tread covers on each step, and side rails. Collectively they will keep the step from moving and your pet from sliding when using it to get on and off furniture. The step does need clearance so it will take up space.

I have three cats that are around the 10 year age, but they are still quite agile and rumbunctious. One of them doesn’t like to jump directly onto the bed. She walks over to my comfy reading chair, jumps on it, and then springs across to the bed. That seems to work for her, but I wanted to see if she would use the step.

I positioned the CozyUp Step on one end of the bed that meets the wall and my cat starting using it. My cats don’t weigh that much so I’m worried about support, but the steps still rocked a minute amount. The only thing that requires work is vacuuming the steps. The soft material they use to cover the steps is black and attracts pet hair, lots of hair. When not in use, you can easily fold the step for storage. It’s affordable and perfect for all pet-loving homes.
