Riiviva offers us spa-quality microdermabrasion using medical-grade diamond tip technology. These tips work harmoniously with a suction to gently vacuum away the outermost surface area of our epidermis where blemishes, small wrinkles, and scarring reside. The Riiviva Microderm is very easy to use, but it’s important that you read the instructions first. Before using this unit, you must make sure there is a new filter in the filter canister for each use. You take the tweezers provided, place it in the keyhole at the bottom of the unit, twist and replace the filter, and put the base back on.

Always start off with a clean and dry face. They recommend you use the fine tip and the lowest intensity when starting your treatments. Riiviva has several videos that show how to effectively use their products and I found them very useful.

The diamond tips screw onto the top of the device easily but, be careful you don’t drop them, they can be damaged in a blink of an eye. The power and intensity buttons are located in front of the unit, and you simply press to get started. You only need to do these treatments once a week to get fabulous results, and personally, I appreciate this. So far I’ve only used the fine tip and followed the steps shown in the video. You have to hold your skin tight on one side as you glide the device across the other side of your face. You will feel the gentle suction with each sweep. There is no pain or discomfort at all, and the process takes less than 15 minutes. The debris that’s vacuumed up will go straight to the filter. When I looked at the filter, I was a little shocked to see how dirty it was. Imagine all this cellular and environmental waste coming off clean skin. It was a little alarming.

My skin felt properly polished and incredibly smooth. I can say that using the Riiviva Microderm has improved my overall skin tone and appearance. I always seem to get blackhead on my nose, and this device has reduced them considerably, and my pores appear smaller. I think my skin looks a lot fresher and perhaps a little more vibrant. I can only imagine how healthy and glowing my skin will look as I keep up these treatments.

The device is easy to maintain as well. I always replace my filter at the end of each treatment. The tips must be cleaned with a mild soap solution after each use and left to air dry. I love the Riiviva Microderm, and I can’t imagine it not being a part of my beauty routine. I would highly recommend it.
