The Essential Oils Healing Deck

Essential oils have been used for thousands of years for a variety of therapeutic purposes. Today, they are still used for their healing properties to enhance our mind, body and spirit. These can include minor physical ailments or the need to balance our emotions.

Some of us may have several essential oil books in our home library to reference when needed. Others might be just learning about these potent little healers and are eager for some handy resources. I recently found The Essential Oils Healing Deck that features 52 different essential oils and comes with an informative booklet. The attractive packaging drew me in, so I had to peruse this darling little deck for myself.

Each card features a beautifully illustrated image with a lovely gloss finish, along with its basic properties. For example, Bergamot essential oil ‘brightens spirits and attracts prosperity.’ For a more in-depth look at each essential oil, you can refer to the booklet which shares the history and applications. Plus, there are lots of tips and suggestions on how to use the oils to strengthen us physically, mentally, and spiritually. And at the end of each explanation, you’ll find many uses for each essential oil. Importantly, it also gives advice on how to choose the right essential oils. There are so many low-grade and synthetic oils on the market that will do more harm than good.

Below is a list of some of the essential oils covered in the deck.

  • Basil
  • Cardamon
  • Cassia
  • Eucalyptus
  • Helichrysum
  • Jasmine
  • Lemongrass
  • Manuka
  • Myrrh
  • Orange
  • Peppermint
  • Rose
  • Sandalwood
  • Spearmint
  • Thyme
  • Vetiver
  • Wintergreen
  • Yarrow

Each card also has symbols denoting how to use them effectively. These include Diffusing, Topical Use, Internal Use, and Cooking. Although I’m not a health expert, I do follow the advice of the Medical Medium and he does not advise anyone to ingest any essential oils. Ask your doctor first before embarking on any internal remedies.
