Skechers Winter Boots for Her
There are so many things I look forward to during the coldest season of the year, decorating for the holidays, a crackling fireplace, baking yummy treats with their comforting scents permeating my home, schmoozing with friends and family, an abundance of snow and going for long walks in the frosty air. Other reasons are being able to wear warm snugly clothes and uber-cool boots. Living through the harsh Canadian winters means I need a pair of boots that can tolerate the frigid temperatures and keep my tootsies warm. The first name to come to mind is Skechers.
I love Skechers boots, they’re not only incredibly comfortable, but they also come in fabulous styles for even the pickiest of women. I admit that I like more feminine looking boots and Skechers has never let me down. I found the most amazing and perfect pair for my taste, the Women’s Trekster – Tower boots.
These lightweight boots are so restful to wear, there’s no strain or pain, just reposed toes. I love the plush and cozy lining, it’s soft and comfy and it kept my feet and legs warm during the -35 C temps we had last week. The inside is fairly roomy, I was able to wear my magnetic insoles without any discomfort. I’ve also worn those thick polar sock with ease and still had a slight wiggle room.
The boots come up to the mid-calf which I really like, so they’ll keep the majority of your legs warm. They come in two neutral colors, black and natural. I have a light brown winter coat, so the natural color morphed beautifully with it. The outside is really gorgeous. The velvety-soft suede looks classy and impressive. The shaft has several panels that are stitched together beautifully, creating a trendy mukluk style that looks rockin’ awesome with both dress or casual wear. There’s a small amount of the faux fur lining running along the top of the boot and overlapping down one side for trim. There are three buttons with elastic toggle loops used for opening and closing the boots.
Personally, I didn’t use them, you won’t need to, there’s lots of room to get your feet in and out without opening the boot. But, if you need to, they offer about four more inches of stretch. The soles are made from flexible rubber and offer lots of traction with all its textured grooves. I felt secure walking on thick patches of ice and snow, no slips, trips, or falls. I only have good things to say about these boots, they’re warm, cushy, attractive and budget-friendly. Skechers boots would make a perfect gift this holiday season. Swing by and check out all their styles for men and children also.
