Vita Liberata Self Tanning Gift Set for that Holiday Glow
We’re in the heart of winter and if you’re like most people, your skin is an unattractive pasty white. You’ve got that dreaded winter pallor and it’s not becoming. Our lovely sun-kissed glow from the past summer has long faded and we’re left with a ghostly and somewhat patchy skin tone. So how do we get our radiant, suntanned complexion back? First, exfoliate.
Exfoliate
Our skin can get a build-up of dead skin cells layers (squamous epithelium) that dull our complexion. They naturally slough off when we’re young, but as we age, this process slows down, so we need to take action by exfoliating. Exfoliating these dead cells is the key. It will improve circulation which will, in turn, promote healthy vibrant skin.
There are lots of products on the market for exfoliating, but you can also make inexpensive mixtures at home. Mix 1/2 brown sugar with just enough grapeseed oil to make a paste is one formula. Another option is to mix some fine sea salt with vegetable glycerin; this is what I use and it works well. There are several other homemade formulas that you can find online that may resonate with you. Apply the exfoliating mixture on your skin in a circular motion and then rinse really well with lukewarm water. It’s suggested you do this weekly to maintain a healthy glow.
Vita Liberata Luxurious Tan Gift Set
There is no question that our skin looks more youthful and dewy when we have a slight tan. You can, of course, frequent a tanning salon, but they are expensive, time-consuming and then there is that all-important fact about UV exposure being harmful to your skin. And besides the fact that this kind of tanning ages you rapidly, there has to be a better alternative. The best practice is to find a topical product that has organic ingredients and will give you that tanned glow. And I found just the right product, the Vita Liberata Tan Gift Set.
The Vita Liberata Luxurious Tan Gift Set is made from clean, certified organic and vegan ingredients. All their products are formulated without any toxic ingredients that are prevalent in many skincare lines and have been proven harmful to the body. As a vegan myself, and one who deeply cares about animal welfare, I naturally resonate with Vita Liberata products.
The Vita Liberata kit comes in a satchel with a mini tanning mitt and three gradual self-tanning products, Self-Tanning Tinted Mousse, Self-Tanning Gradual Lotion, and Illuminaze Highly Active Complexion Veil. I like the idea of gradually tanning your skin; easing to a slightly darker skin color will look far more natural.
The Self-Tanning Mousse is a tinted foam that actually comes out looking a little bronzy, but it only adds a tint of color to your skin. It’s unscented and absorbs quickly into your skin, drying instantly and leaving behind an ever so slightly tanned glow. It’s recommended that you exfoliate your skin first, but don’t apply any moisturizer before using the self-tanning mousse. The mousse has its own moisturizer properties that last up to 72 hours. Apply the mousse and use the tanning mitt to spread the product in a circular motion. It’s suggested you wait around 8 hours before showering. I applied the mousse to a small patch on my arm and I can see the difference in skin tone and texture. It’s a nice product that can be used on your face and body.
The Self-Tanning Gradual Lotion is a divinely scented clear moisturizing lotion. With daily use, it hydrates your skin and extends the life of your tan. Good for aging, mature, dry or sensitive skin types and can be used on your face or body. It includes a line up of skin-enhancing ingredients like the beneficial Bladderwrack, which is beneficial for fine lines and wrinkles.
The Illuminaze is like an advanced moisturizer using anti-aging macadamia oil and panthenol with pro-vitamin B5. It has a pump dispenser that distributes a lightly scented cream that looks almost clay-like. It eases dryness, minimizes wrinkles, and improves skin elasticity. Illuminaze can be applied after your moisturizer by blending small dots across your face. Secret code: faux tan
I only used the three products on a small area on my arm for a few days, and my skin color is slightly tanned in appearance. I really like the Gradual Lotion moisturizer and would use it regardless of being part of a self-tanning kit. I find it quite soothing and moisturizing, plus it absorbs quickly. There was no itchiness, redness, or stickiness with using the set, which is usually the reaction I get with most skincare lines. I hope they come out with a regular skincare line.
If you’re looking for a healthy tanned glow this holiday season, Vita Liberata can get your skin there. Right now the set is on sale for $59. Would make a great stocking stuffer as well.
