The last few years have raised our anxiety levels beyond what most of us can handle. With new viruses, outrageous mandates, imposed isolation, uncertainty, misinformation, and lifestyle disruption, we have reached a monumental degree of worry, fear, stress, grief, and depression that has stricken the young and the elderly. While the world situation seems to finally be turning around, the damage is already done. While some of us suffered losses, we are all wrestling with the lack of confidence in our governments and medical systems. They have completely let us down.
While we have no control over what transpires in the outside world, we do within our homes. It’s up to us to focus on our own self-care and figure out healthy ways to rein in our fears and calm our anxiety. We are all different so our needs and action steps will vary from others. This may seem like an enormous task, but sometimes the simplest and tiniest changes can have a huge impact on our well-being.
Eating a healthy balanced diet rich in nutrients is the start to easing our anxieties. Fruits, veggies, and greens are potent in vitamins, minerals and nutrients that decrease anxiety. Make sure you are getting enough magnesium, zinc and vitamin B in feel-good foods like legumes, nuts, seeds, and avocados.
Exercise is one of the best stress-busters and mood changers. Any form of exercise will decrease stress and anxiety, so find something you enjoy doing. Keep it uncomplicated! You don’t have to join a gym or buy special equipment. Walking, running, biking, hiking, dancing, qi gong or tai chi are all great for the body and anxiety levels for both adults and children.
Children are innocent and will pick up on our vibes whether we are calm or distressed. They haven’t learned many coping skills yet, so they react to and mimic our actions and reactions. They need to feel safe, secure, supported, and loved by their families. Hugs, kisses, and kind reassuring words will put kids at ease, but sometimes it helps to have a Warm Buddy Cuddle Bunny to hold, squeeze and love.
The Warm Buddy Cuddle Bunny is a warm-up animal with plush, soft, velvety brown fur that feels comforting to the touch. The bunny has long fuzzy ears, cute little toes, endearing black eyes, a loveable chubby body, and a darling little embroidered pink nose. All the cherished attributes a child or adult will love. The bunny is lightweight and measures 18 inches (45 cm) long, so he’s the perfect size for kids of all ages to hug and snuggle up to.
The back of the bunny has a velcro opening that houses a black, removable inner heat pad (containing all-natural ingredients) that can be warmed in the microwave or cooled in the freezer as desired. The warm, gentle heat emanating from the Cuddle Bunny will soothe, settle and comfort children whether they are watching tv, reading a book, or settling down for a good night’s sleep.
The heating pad measures 7 x 5.5 inches, (18 x 14 cm) is unscented and hypoallergenic. Lots of people, including kids have allergies or are sensitive to scents. It can be used as it or for aromatherapy purposes as well. Just add a few drops of your favorite calming essential oils like the Anti-Stress or Lavender Oil and your children will feel tranquil and relaxed.
The bunny only comes in one color but two different sizes, 18 inches (45 cm) and 13 inches (33 cm) long. Babies and toddlers can enjoy the smaller version, while bigger kids can nestle up to the larger bunny. They are machine washable and dryable on warm, cool and gentle cycles, so they are easy to care for. If you have a child that needs a special cuddle bunny for comfort, Warm Buddy will not let you down.
