Warm Buddy Heat Therapy #HolidayGiftGuide

This time of year we have two major things to deal with, the stress of the holidays, and the bitter cold temperatures. I’m not that great at handling either. To help cope, I like to unwind with a decadent cup of hot chocolate and my Warm Buddy products.

Warm Buddy was founded in 1995 by registered nurse Karen McKee, who was inspired to create heat therapy products after a visit to a natural healing hospital in India. They used herbal preparations and heat therapy to provide comfort and relief to their patients. This experience influenced Karen to return to Canada and create her award-winning Warm Buddy products, and she’s continually adding to her repertoire.

When we think of Warm Buddy, we automatically associate them with the darling little fuzzy critters that warm and soothe the sick, downhearted, and chilled soul. They’re comforting and appealing to all age groups. My family and I have become very fond of them, and they’ve always been there in our time of discomfort.

What many may not know is that Warm Buddy also makes heat wraps and heat therapy products that also help with relaxation, discomfort, and pain. I recently tried out their Aromatherapy Sleep Mask and the Warming Blanket.

Aromatherapy Sleep Mask

The Warm Buddy Sleep Mask is heavenly. It’s filled with flax seed and has a pleasant scent of lavender, peppermint and chamomile herbs. It’s incredibly soft, one side has a warm fuzzy chenille fabric that you put on your eyes, and the other side has a lovely silk leaf pattern. You can use the Sleep Mask in two ways; you can pop it in the microwave for a maximum of thirty seconds or slip into a plastic bag and then into the freezer for one hour. Once you apply the mask to your eyes, you’ll feel the temperature immediately. I heated the Sleep Mask up for the required time, and it was the perfect temperature. The warmth, the light acupressure, and the aromatic scent combination were like having a deep heat spa treatment. I got so relaxed; I fell asleep. The mask would also be great for travel.

Warm buddy Warming Blanket

The Warming Blanket is a luxurious heat wrap. It’s extra-large coverage (15″ x 19″), drapes across your chest and rib cage for total repose. Both sides of the wrap are covered in a plush chenille fabric that’s removable and washable. You can microwave or freeze this blanket just like the Sleep Mask. It’s filled with milled rice and scented with lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus, and essential oil of rosemary and cloves. The scent is pleasant and subtle.

Warmth is so good for aches muscles and joint pain, so my preference is always to heat the blanket. The instructions don’t mention how long to leave the blanket in the microwave. But because it’s thicker and folded a few times, I left in for one minute. The heat is so welcoming and soothing. You can place the Warming Blanket on any area of the body that needs heat; on your back, shoulders, spine, thighs, or even your feet. You can also use the blanket to preheat your bed on frosty evenings. I think this is much safer use than hot water bottles, especially with children. The cover comes in multiple colors and is machine washable.

Warm Buddy’s products make it so easy to feel loved and get into a tranquil zone. They warm you up, relax you and help you recover from a hectic day. They’re all well made with quality material and ingredients, and safe for children to use under supervision. I love Warm Buddy, and I cannot think of a better gift to give this holiday season. Swing by their site and check out all their charming gift ideas. I want them all! Happy Holidays!
